Materials & care
Everything at NestForma is made from plant-based PLA bioplastic (some lamp shades use PETG for the translucent colors). It's rigid, lightweight, and kinder to the planet than petroleum plastics — and because we print to order, there's very little waste.
Caring for your piece
- Dusting: wipe with a soft, dry cloth. For a deeper clean, use a slightly damp cloth and dry right away.
- Heat: PLA softens in high heat. Keep pieces away from ovens, stovetops, radiators, and hot cars. For lamps, use LED bulbs only — LEDs stay cool; incandescent and halogen bulbs run too hot.
- Sunlight: avoid prolonged direct sunlight, which can fade or soften over time.
- Water: vases and planters are best with dried or faux stems, or a water-tube insert. Rinse planters/watering cans with cool water — no dishwasher.
Good to know
- Fine layer lines and small variations between pieces are normal — that's the fingerprint of made-to-order 3D printing.
- Clocks include a silent quartz movement (AA battery not included).
- Small parts on some items may be a choking hazard — keep away from children under 3.
